ABOUT REDBOURN

Redbourn is a village in Hertfordshire with an estimated population of 5,188 in 2014. For a long time, the village was the centre of a farming community and had a successful watercress business. Flour was ground at the Redbournbury Mill, and a jam-making factory was set up in 1956 by local grocer Russell Harborough, which is now an industrial estate off High Street. Later, the transportation industry brought railways and the Redbourn bypass to the area, creating better traffic flow throughout the village.
